The East Midlands Youth String Orchestra is a chamber orchestra 0f 20 – 30 talented players.

Conducted by distinguished violinist and conductor, Richard Howarth, the orchestra performs a variety of music from the great string orchestra repertoire.

Rehearsals take place approximately once a month on a Sunday Afternoon (2pm – 5pm) at the Bluecoat Academy, Aspley Lane, Nottingham.

Informal auditions will take place, in Nottingham, during the afternoon of Saturday 16 July 2016. Players wishing to audition will be contacted with details of time and venue.

Players should be Associated Board grade 5+ and school years 7+. Auditions will comprise of playing an own choice prepared piece and some sightreading.
