Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 subject to relevant skills and experience
Music for Everyone is a dynamic, independent, community-based arts organisation with over 35 years’ experience in devising and running innovative music participation events across Nottingham and the East Midlands. It enjoys a strong reputation for providing people of all ages with high quality opportunities to make music, develop creatively and have fun, all within a dynamic and caring environment. It provides progression pathways, culminating in specialist ensembles for both singers and instrumentalists.
The role of Assistant Artistic Director is an important new role at Music for Everyone.
We are looking for an experienced, creative and inspirational music educator/practitioner, with a commitment to oversee, support and enhance Music for Everyone’s existing artistic programme and the passion to lead a step-change in our youth outreach development and schools engagement work.
The successful candidate will be a music specialist with a proven professional track record of devising and running dynamic music projects for children of all ages, abilities and experience and working at an advanced level with adult ensembles. A particular interest in choral work would be an advantage.
The role is based at our Nottingham offices and is being partially funded by the Nottinghamshire Music Education Hub which is delivered by Inspire https://www.inspireculture.org.uk/services-schools/nottinghamshire-music-hub/

Starting date: Thursday 2nd January 2020 or as soon as is convenient for the successful candidate.
The interview process will have two stages. Formal interviews will be held in Nottingham on Tuesday 17th December and candidates successful at interview will then be invited to take a short rehearsal with MFE’s chamber choir, the East of England Singers, on the evening of Wednesday 18th December.
