The programme uses the spaces of the church to enfold the audience in music composed for special buildings and occasions. Bruckner’s sonorous Mass in E Minor, scored for eight-part choir and wind ensemble, takes us to the ‘new’ cathedral in Linz, Austria, while other composers convey us through England, France and Poland to Italy – from Durham Cathedral to St Mark’s in Venice, via Warsaw’s Chopin Airport!
