Walk the golden streets of Venice in our first Festival Chorus concert of the season, focusing on the music of two of Venice’s greatest exports – Monteverdi and Vivaldi. The Vivaldi Gloria is one of his most famous works and a real joy to sing. Experience the splendour of the high baroque era from Europe’s cultural jewel with strings and harpsichords ringing out in celebration.
The Performers:
The Nottingham Festival Chorus is Music for Everyone’s flagship choir which welcomes singers for three exciting events each year, for workshops, courses & concerts. They perform major classical & 20th-century choral works in a dynamic four-part chorus. They are joined in this concert by the Nottingham Chamber Singers & Nottingham Concert Players who will be performing works by Monteverdi including Beatus Vir, Christe Adoramus and Gloria a 7.
