The Nottingham Chamber Singers (formerly the East of England Singers) are the Chamber Choir of Music for Everyone. Formed in 1985, this auditioned SATB choir has a busy concert schedule, performing works across the full choral range from Hildegard of Bingen to Richard Rodney Bennett. NCS rehearses weekly at 7.30pm on a Wednesday evening in West Bridgford and performs both a capella and with our chamber orchestra, the New Classical Players.
NCS have 40 members and give an average of six exciting concerts per season in addition to performances with the Nottingham Festival Chorus, of which they form part, providing the semi-chorus for works which require one.
We don’t want anyone to be excluded from MfE activities because of their financial circumstances and there is a subsidised scheme available for any who needs it. Please contact anne@music-for-everyone.org if this is the case.
