DESCRIPTION:Come to BANDWISE 2026! \nWorkshop: Saturday 18th April 2026 – South Nottinghamshire Academy\, Radcliffe on Trent \nConcert: Sunday 26th April – Albert Hall\, Nottingham \n \nBANDWISE is a fun\, creative workshop day & concert for all young woodwind\, brass and percussion players of grade 2 standard and above aged 8 – 21. (For string players – check out STRINGWISE!) \nRehearsals are led by experienced conductors and a team of specialist tutors will help you build new skills and work on the music during the workshop day. The following weekend you will perform at Nottingham’s iconic Albert Hall in the Big Youth Music Experience concert — with family and friends cheering you on! \nThere will be two bands: \n\nBandwise 1: grade 2-4\nBandwise 2: grade 5+\n\nA music pack  (including rehearsal tracks which are accessible via digital download) will be sent out about 4 weeks before the course\, helping you learn the pieces before continuing in the rehearsals at the workshop day. \n\nTimetable \nSaturday 18 April 2026 – Workshop Day\nSouth Nottinghamshire Academy\, Radcliffe on Trent \nBandwise 2: 10.15am – 5.30pm\nBandwise 1: 12.45pm – 5.30pm \nSunday 26 April 2026 – Concert Day\nAlbert Hall\, Nottingham \nBandwise 2: 11.15am – 3.00pm\nBandwise 1: 12.15pm – 3.00pm\nConcert: 3.30pm – 5.30pm \nNB Children will be supervised in between the rehearsal and concert. \n\nHow much does it cost?\nThe enrolment fees for Bandwise 2026 are:\nBandwise 1 – £22\nBandwise 2 – £26 \nOnline sign-up is now closed. If you still wish to register for either Bandwise or Stringwise\, please ring the office on 0115 958 9312. \nPlease note if you have children registering  for both Bandwise & Stringwise\, a 10% discount for all siblings will be applied using the code: 10BYME26 \nWe don’t want anyone to be excluded from MfE activities because of their financial circumstances and there is a subsidised scheme available for any who needs it. Bruckner’s sonorous Mass in E Minor\, scored for eight-part choir and wind ensemble\, takes us to the ‘new’ cathedral in Linz\, Austria\, while other composers convey us through England\, France and Poland to Italy – from Durham Cathedral to St Mark’s in Venice\, via Warsaw’s Chopin Airport! \nTickets \nTickets are available to book online via the button below or you can book over the phone by calling our Box Office on 0115 9589312.
