Nottingham Girls' Voices

Sing with Nottingham Girl’s voices – two choirs for girls in school years 3 - 9 who just love singing. Helping girls develop their singing skills and experience of group performance, the groups also provide an opportunity for girls to have fun and meet new friends. Ultimately, it’s the satisfaction to be seen on every member’s face as they sing their hearts out to audiences at their regular performances that makes NGV such a worthwhile experience - everyone comes away on a real high!

A balanced approach to having fun and learning about singing keeps the girls coming back week on week – ‘I have a great time singing with my friends at Girls’ Voices – I look forward to it all week’ says one member – ‘it helps me to read and sing music’.

The sessions are lead by experienced choir leaders Jane McDouall and Elizabeth Lee, and the group rehearse Tuesday evenings during term-time. Pop and folk, classical songs and favourites from musicals – we perform all of them to our friends and families in our regular concerts – recent highlights include performances at Belvoir Castle, Nottingham Albert Hall and Nottingham Trent University.

If you’re daughter is in school years 3 - 9 and is enthusiastic about singing then we’d love to invite her along to one of our rehearsals so that she can experience NGV for herself!
