East of England Singers
The East of England Singers are the Chamber Choir of Music for Everyone. Formed in 1985, this auditioned SATB choir has a busy concert schedule, performing works across the full choral range from Hildegard of Bingen
to Richard Rodney Bennett. EOES rehearse weekly and performs both a capella and with our chamber orchestra, the New Classical Players.
Recent performances have included Music for Royal Occasions (read the review) Will Todd Mass in Blue (read the review), Elgar Dream of Gerontius (read the review), Schubert Mass No 2 and Mozart Solemn Vespers. All have received critical acclaim for their dynamism and beauty of sound.
EOES have 40 members and give an average of six exciting concerts per season in addition to performances with the Nottingham Festival Chorus, of which they form part, providing the semi-chorus for works which require one.
